Aromas of black cherries, spice, violets and cola berry are the most prominent; but raspberries, salted apples, coffee and
cedar chest are also layered into the profile. Flavors are full, soft and supple, with good intensity of fruit flavors. The
berry and cherry flavors linger on the palate until you taste it again; the tartness of the finish goes from cherries, to
stronefruit, to minerality.

"This wine exhibits deep ruby color and a big, sweet nose of peppery black cherry and raspberry liqueur intermixed with spring flowers and earth. The wine is medium to full-bodied, ripe, and altogether a hedonistic mouthful of big Zinfandel."

| The aromas and profile of this wine is much darker and brooding than past vintages. The wine has a hint of herbal quality that smells a lot like strawberry rhubarb pie. The wine’s most dominate aroma is the ripe sweet cherry character, but it evolves to perfumed aromas of nectarines and peaches. The aftertaste is long with a well balanced finish. |

The Perli Vineyard Zin is composed with multiple varieties, creating a Zin that leans more toward a Claret in style. Bramble berries and spice are the predominant aromas, but you can also find hints of toffee, anise, fresh flowers, chocolate and stone fruits. The flavors are soft and supple, with loads of richness on the finish. It drinks like a wild berry cream soda - too easy to drink. A great wine for a person who does not like red wine, but complex enough for the most sophisticated wine geek.

"Edmeades, a true Mendocino pioneer, has crafted an enormously likeable Zin, deeply flavored in black currant, cherry and black raspberry-pie filling and chocolaty, spicy desirousness. But for all its size and high alcohol, the wine retains a silky, elegant mouthfeel.

| Piffero’s perfumed black cherry fruit is the first aroma out of the glass, but the rhubarb pie aroma is a close second. The bright fruit flavors combine with darker aromas of an evergreen forest and mint followed by dark chocolate and coffee. The 2005 vintage shows great structure and smooth chalky tannins, with a long salted apple finish. The wine has concentrated layers of spice and oak influences of toasty vanillin. After tasting the wine, it makes you want to go out and get a piece of pie – rubarb, cherry or an italian pizza pie |

Think cherries … loads of ’em. Chocolate-covered cherries, dried Bing cherries, candied cherries, perfumed cherries. Mendocino Zin may be known for cherry and berry flavors, but this bottling is over the top, with cherry bursting out in all directions, topped with a rich toasty oak bouquet with a touch of butterscotch. Bold … and big, with excellent cellaring potential for five to ten years.

"The 2005 Zinfandel Chase Vineyard has an intense black cherry and raspberry nose, a dark ruby/purple-tinged color, surprisingly full body and depth, and is quite a complete wine, even in such a difficult vintage."

| This wine has a bit of a split personality. From the young vines we get a healthy dose of youthful angst – dark dense and brooding, kinda like your 15-year-old nephew. But on the flip side it shows a mature, powerful body structure – wise beyond its years. The combination is intense. Look for an overload of wild blueberries, dark chocolate and dried cherries, with an underbelly of vanilla bean, toast and spice. This is a true mountain Zin.

| Black cherries and spice form the core of the aromatics, leading into bright raspberries with cream soda and ending with a toasty bouquet of French oak. Bright, luscious fruit, as with past vintages, but with a little more depth of flavor and darker, chewy blackberry notes on the finish. Flavors of peaches with a peach pit finish combine with the more prominent juicy plum and berry flavors. Great structure for a vintage that was the earliest on record. |
